EDUCATION
Greg graduated from Lamar University with a BBA in accounting and a minor in economics.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
From 1974 through 1979, he was President of a closely held, family-owned corporation, which was diversified in its business endeavors. In 1979, Greg joined the Houston office of Benson, Wells & Co., a regional CPA firm. In 1980 the Houston office withdrew and formed Shelby, Rucksdashel & Jones. Greg continued with the new firm.
In 1984, Greg opened the Dallas office of Shelby, Rucksdashel & Jones as Partner-in-Charge. He continued as an Audit and Consulting Partner as well as Partner-in-Charge of the Dallas office until 1989.
In 1990, he became the Shareholder in charge of Audit, Consulting, and Financial Reporting engagements for Chapman, Hext & Co., P.C. In 2006, Greg became the majority shareholder of the firm and assumed the role of CEO of the firm and its affiliated companies. In 2018, Greg will purchase the remaining shares of the Firm and become the sole shareholder.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Greg has had extensive experience in financial reporting, consulting, merger & acquisition, debt and equity financings and litigation support. He has assisted a variety of corporate and individual clients regarding issues related to start-up companies, sale of companies, financial reporting issues, bank and equity financing, relationships, and a variety of other issues faced by individual and corporate entities. His litigation support experience includes both criminal and civil cases.
PROFESSIONAL & BUSINESS AFFILIATIONS
Greg also directs the activities of White Rock Advisors. White Rock Advisors provides investment banking and corporate finance services to private and public companies.
In addition, he is the managing partner of the White Rock Venture Fund. The fund is a family office. The investments consists of ownership in various companies needing expansion and growth capital.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Greg is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and various civic and religious organizations. He also holds a Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 securities licenses. In addition, he sits on two corporate boards, as well as the BBVA Advisory Board.
Greg and his wife Kimberly live in Dallas. They have a son Preston who attends SMU at the Cox School of Business. Greg and Kimberly are involved with SMU and Kimberly sits on the Board of a number of Charities in Dallas.
