Mr. Kann began his career on Wall Street as a stockbroker with Bache & Co. Several years later he joined Loeb Rhoades, where he was appointed trader in the newly created GNMA securities market. During his career as a Fixed Income Securities trader, Department Head and Institutional Salesman he worked at such global investment banks as United California Bank, Smith Barney, Société Générale, Morgan Stanley and UBS Securities.
In 1992, Mr. Kann switched into the highly profitable long distance telecom market and founded World Access Telecom, Inc. which he ran as President until 2001. It was then that he transitioned into the Life Settlement market and became a Director of AmeriFirst, Inc. which through its subsidiary companies operated as a Provider, Servicer and Fund Manager of Life Settlements. During this time, Mr. Kann helped in writing the procedures and anti-fraud manuals, establishing AmeriFirst Funding Group as a Provider in 38 states and setting up a broker network to purchase policies throughout the US. He also marketed AmeriFirst Fund 1, LLC, a registered S-1 filing, throughout the US, Europe and Asia.
Mr. Kann left AmeriFirst in 2004 to form a joint venture with Mondiaen Capital Management, N.V., a privately held Dutch broker/dealer and Fund Manager and member of Euronext. Together, they formed Creative Structured Finance, LLC focusing on structuring, modeling, fund management and financing needs for non-investment rated companies. Also, in 2004 Mr. Kann created Corinthians, LLC, a consulting company specializing in the Origination, Financing, Portfolio Modeling, Servicing, and Marketing of Life Insurance Policies in the Secondary Market.
Currently, Mr. Kann serves as Vice President of White Rock Advisors, L.L.C., an investment banking subsidiary of Chapman Hext, a provider of complete auditing and tax services, wealth management, merger and acquisition advisory services, institutional private placements of equity and debt, restructuring and turnaround services and general corporate finance advisory services to companies with revenues or enterprise values ranging from $10 million to $500 million. Mr. Kann brings with him over 40 years experience in the Domestic and International financial markets and is a specialist in Longevity Assets, Tax-Free Retirement Planning and Financing. He holds FINRA licenses Series 7, 22, 24, 63, 79 and is a licensed agent in Life, Variable Annuities, and Health Insurance.
